## About WalletConnect

WalletConnect is the backbone of onchain connectivity, powering seamless interactions between wallets, applications, and users across the Web3 ecosystem.

With over 240M+ connections, 35M+ users, and support for 600+ wallets, WalletConnect has become as recognizable to onchain UX as Visa is to checkout in Web2. As the protocol evolved toward decentralization, WalletConnect launched the $WCT token to enable a permissionless, community-owned network governed by staking, incentives, and onchain participation.

## The brief

WalletConnect engaged Myosin to support the $WCT Token Generation Event (TGE) with a high-impact, credibility-first go-to-market strategy. The challenge was twofold.

**Pre-TGE:** Build anticipation and narrative clarity around $WCT’s role in decentralizing one of the most widely used pieces of Web3 infrastructure.

**Post-TGE:** Sustain momentum by driving informed discussion around staking, governance, and long-term utility, without falling into short-lived hype cycles common to token launches.

**Myosin was tasked with designing and executing a KOL + PR engine that could:**

- Reach high-quality, blockchain-native audiences
- Prioritize credibility and signal over raw reach
- Translate infrastructure complexity into clear, compelling narratives
- Maintain visibility beyond the initial TGE window

## What we did

Myosin executed a two-phase KOL and PR launch strategy for the $WCT TGE, optimized for credibility, signal quality, and sustained relevance, not short-term hype.

**The Highlights**

- Defined and enforced a single narrative: WalletConnect as the backbone of onchain UX
- Activated 10–15 high-quality KOLs per phase across pre- and post-TGE windows
- Prioritized analysts, educators, and infrastructure-native voices over promotional accounts
- Delivered ~50M total media impressions across 27 publications and channels
- Extended momentum into WalletConnect’s ecosystem evolution and rebrand

**KOL Impact (Independent Cookie3 Analysis)**

- Majority of $WCT mentions came from “Stars” and “Hidden Gems”, not low-quality accounts
- 0 underperforming KOLs identified across 2 consecutive campaign windows
- 4 Myosin-selected KOLs ranked in the global top 25 by smart engagement share
- Strong balance across reach, audience credibility, and content quality, validating KOL selection strategy

This confirmed the campaign reached audiences that meaningfully influence onchain behavior, not just impressions.

**PR & Narrative Outcomes**

- Secured sustained Tier 1 and Tier 2 media coverage tied to utility, governance, and adoption
- Positioned WalletConnect as a category-defining infrastructure protocol, not a speculative token
- Maintained consistent visibility before, during, and after TGE, avoiding launch-week drop-off

**Net Result**

A high-signal launch that:

- Reinforced WalletConnect’s long-term infrastructure narrative
- Drove informed discussion around $WCT staking and governance
- Sustained credibility and visibility beyond the TGE window

## In their words

> We worked with Myosin leading up to our TGE and they were a delight, and are still working with them on a couple different workstreams. I've had a lot of failed agency engagements before in the past, but Myosin is unique and my top recommendation!
